1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MoniMata (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MoniMata is a mobile-first budgeting application that provides financial tracking, savings management, and gamified financial literacy tools. The Service is designed for Nigerian students and young adults to help them develop healthy financial habits.

MoniMata is not a bank, payment processor, or financial advisor. We do not hold, transfer, or manage actual funds. All financial data entered is for personal tracking purposes only.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

5. Gamification & Rewards

Points, badges, streaks, and leaderboard positions earned through the Service have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to modify the gamification system at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, content, and features, is owned by MoniMata and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. MoniMata does not provide financial advice, and any information provided is for educational purposes only.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoniMata shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on information provided by the app.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
